Covering all your cleaning requirements in Central and Outer London
Before we place a cleaner in a job there are two points that we must be absolutely certain about:
1. Is the cleaner legally allowed to work in this country.
2. Would we trust the cleaner in our own home.
To help us achieve this goal each cleaner, without exception goes through our interview, vetting and training process before they are allowed to represent A Maid In Heaven. We have not had to advertise for cleaners for over 5 years as existing cleaners are constantly referring their friends. There are many significant benefits to this:-
-
our ladies are proud of the company they work with, which is very important to us
- The applicant know the standards we set and expect to be maintained
-
We have longer background history on an applicant – not just references
Throughout the year we have meetings and various social events for our cleaners which really helps us to get to know each cleaner on a more personal level thus enabling us to place the right person in the right job. It is our aim to make sure our cleaners are motivated, enjoy their work, appreciated and most of all are safe and happy. Our policy is to support our cleaners as much as our clients.
INTERVIEWING AND VETTING
The interview and training process takes place over a one day period. If the cleaner meets our standards then references are followed up, Visa and permits checked.
All applicants must meet the following criteria:-
• ID – usually in the form of passport and Visa
• 2 Proofs of address
• 2 written references which we follow up
• Applicants must be able to speak and read English
• Necessary work permits
• Applicants must attend and pass our training programme
TRAINING
Before we place a cleaner in a job they are required to attend our specially designed training programme. The training is to primarily help the assistants really understand your cleaning needs and ensure a high standard of cleaning is maintained. The key areas covered in our training are:-
• Practical cleaning and ironing assessment
• The need for good communication
• Understanding and meeting clients needs
• Security
• Do’s and Don’ts
• Courtesy
• Common sense, initiative and time-keeping
• Products and materials
• Job satisfaction
• Maintaining standards
If at the end of this process we feel the cleaner meets our standards; that we would trust them in our own home and they are legally allowed to work in this country then we will place them in work. The new cleaner usually starts by working alongside another one of our ladies for a probationary time prior to being alocated their own clients.
WARNING: If your current cleaner is not here legally, you could be prosecuted and face a fine.... we are sure about our's are you?
A breach of the Immigration Act 2008 could cost you £10,000!!
